The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
robotic hoovers is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.
Its design is also superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System is also self-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, is an excellent choice for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it doesn't have certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or re-label rooms.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, however, once it's in place it is done easily. It also has a large LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are among the best on the market - but it's also pricey.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of your home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need an automated vacuum that can do everything.
However, if you're looking to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other options on the market which include a variety of eufy models priced considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper, but offers many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets with low pile, and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up, simply snap on one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be placed near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it will be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it needs to recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky materials such as cereal.
